Our regional broking hubs have stable and ambitious management teams, who actively pursue the acquisition of smaller Satellite brokers with the ultimate aim of achieving Organic Growth. We understand the importance of regional independent brokers which is why all our Partners retain their own identity and brand. The Hub is provided with access to capital to purchase smaller brokers, known as ‘satellites’. Each Ethos Broker receives wide ranging support from a team of market-leading in-house experts, offering services including HR, Marketing, Risk & Compliance Management and Insurer Reconciliation.

We understand that having poured a good deal of blood, sweat and tears into your business, deciding to sell is an emotional experience. Selling to a like-minded independent broker is often less daunting and can enable you to remain within the business if you wish. Satellite brokerages are often smaller in size with directors looking to sell to another independently thinking business within the area.

Richard joined Ethos Broking in 2018, having worked as an independent broker for over 18 years, holding various roles including MD of Jelf Insurance Partnership (formerly TIP) and latterly Regional Director for Jelf Insurance Brokers.

Richard’s role sees him working with the Networks’ acquired brokers to help them develop and drive their commercial plans as well as supporting on any planned future acquisitions.

Susan joined the Group in August 2016 to integrate Regional Partners into the newly formed advisory broking business. She has extensive experience in the general Insurance industry fulfilling roles from Commercial Underwriting, Sales, and Operational Management through to managing large transformation programmes with Aviva, Friends Life, Brightside Insurance Group and latterly Broker Network.

 

Dave Ball

Insurer Markets Director

Dave joined Ethos Broking in December 2018, having worked as an insurer and broker for 30 years, holding various roles including Markets MD of Bluefin Insurance Services and latterly Markets Director for Jelf Insurance Brokers.

Dave’s role sees him working closely with the Ethos business to shape and implement an insurer and product strategy aligned to the needs of our clients and the aspirations of the Ethos proposition.

Matthew Gibson

Acquisitions Manager

Matthew joined Broker Network in 2017 as Acquisitions Manager in the newly formed advisory division. Matthew gets involved on acquisitions from the beginning and works closely with the vendors and broker MDs throughout the process.

Prior to joining Broker Network, Matthew worked for Bluefin (and formerly Smart & Cook) for 14 years, in a variety of senior finance roles, whilst also working on numerous acquisitions throughout that time.
