Saffron Insurance makes sixth acquisition with purchase of Stuart & Co

Saffron Insurance has today completed on the purchase of Cambridgeshire-based brokerage and Broker Network member, Stuart & Co. This latest purchase is Saffron’s sixth acquisition since becoming an Ethos Broking Partner and its fourth this year

Founded in 1995, the business has grown organically and now manages £3m GWP of commercial and personal lines business. The brokerage is owned and run by Bob Amos who now employs 12 people all of whom will stay with the business. Following completion of the deal, the business will retain its current premises.

Commenting on the purchase, Steve Seekings, Saffron’s MD said: “Bob Amos has been known to us for many years and we’ve long admired Stuart and Co and its focus on the client. It’s a great cultural match for us and we look forward to working with their talented team and building on what Bob has created.

“2020 is looking set to be a promising year for us with a number of ongoing conversations and we’ve just started due diligence with another great team.”

Ethos Broking took a majority stake in Saffron Insurance in 2018 and the broker has since bought Continuum, Grove Insurance, Farmer Insurance, Bridge Insurance and Sharer Chapman.
